With six decades of experience in the design of individual land drainage systems White Horse Contractors has a wealth of experience in design and provision of land drainage systems to draw upon.
We know that each site will have a unique combination of topography, soil conditions, and performance requirements. Our team will work closely with you to understand your objectives and identify how these can be delivered effectively, efficiently, and safely.
The first meeting takes place on site and together we will discuss your land drainage requirements. Our discussion will cover any feasibility concerns, technical requirements, and parameters such as timescales and budget.
The information and insight gained from the initial site visit will be used to develop a design proposal for your new drainage system.
The proposal will include first draft drawings to illustrate how the the system will work and outline our construction specifications with estimated costs and timescales. The process gives you the opportunity for comment and revision.
Following client feedback, amendments, and approval we conduct a topographical survey to understand land fall across the site. During the survey we may dig trial holes to investigate the soil type and composition. This will improve our knowledge of water flow rates and trenching requirements.
Following the topographical survey we develop the final drainage design, material specifications, project plan and provide you with a detailed breakdown of costs in our quotation.
White Horse Contractors conduct an ongoing program of investment in specialist plant, machinery, and staff training. Works are carried out by our own in-house team using our wholly owned equipment. With a fleet of modern Mastenbroek trenchers we have the resource and capability to overcome any unforeseen obstacles and ensure that your project remains on schedule.
Our Health & Safety Manager will create a dedicated H&S plan for your project and logistics will be carefully planned before site mobilisation commences.
We will keep you you up to date with progress throughout the project and when the works are complete, we will rapidly de-mobilise the site and ensure the safe and efficient removal of all machinery and equipment before comprehensively tidying the site.
Our in-house site surveyor will then conduct a final record survey of the drainage installation and provide you with a final 'as-built' plan of the works.
We regularly work for land owners, farms, cemeteries, main contractors, sports clubs and stadia. Our staff understand the importance of privacy and we treat all enquiries in confidence.
Mitigating environmental impact is a core value of White Horse Contractors. We regularly work for leading environmental and ecological organisations including the Environment Agency, the National Trust, and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
We are recognised, accredited and certified by key governing and advisory bodies for your peace of mind. These encompass quality management, supply chain, procurement and risk management systems.
